Awarded in late June 2016, the project team performed phase two, of a two-phased project including the removal of tailings along the Middle Fork of Warm Springs Creek, upgrading of access roads, excavation, blending and hauling of tailings to the repository, final construction of the repository including High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)* and soil cap, reconstruction of the Middle Fork of Warm Springs stream channel, placement of backfill and topsoil, demolition of temporary access roads, and seeding, and fertilizing of all disturbed areas.  (*it is a geomembrane liner that is impermeable.)

“Kudos to the project team for the performance under these challenging conditions and under a very short schedule, trying to beat the early winter of Montana – keep up the good safe work.”

Kevin Redmond, PMP, Remedial Action Deputy Operations Manager
