North Wind Solutions LLC, the clean-up contractor for the Transuranic Waste Processing Center (TWPC), earned 94% (on average) of the award fee from the October 2016 to October 2017 performance period, according to a recently released score card.
The TWPC project received a High Confidence and Excellent ratings for Cost and Schedule Performance, and Technical Performance, respectively.
“I am very proud of the accomplishments, dedication and overall performance of the North Wind Solutions team at TWPC,” said Chris Leichtweis, President/CEO of North Wind Group.
Contractor award fee evaluations determine what will be paid based on performance against stated objectives in accordance with annual award fee plans.
DOE cited several TWPC accomplishments over the past year, including:
- Exceeding the contact-handled transuranic (TRU) waste processing goal by 9.9%
- Exceeding the remote-handled TRU waste processing by 5.2%
- Effective Nevada National Security Site Assessments
- Effective and well-managed Safety and Health Program
