North Wind Awards Two Scholarships

North Wind once again supported the Hispanic Youth Symposium with the award of two scholarships. The Symposium is an annual event designed to encourage Hispanic teens to seek brighter futures for themselves and their families by overcoming both real and perceived barriers to attain a higher education. The students participate in education, college and career workshops, connect with local Hispanic professionals, meet college admissions officers, interact with near-peer mentors, listen to inspirational speakers, and compete for scholarships. During the event, North Wind awarded scholarships to two high school seniors:

  • Jennifer Gonzalez from South Freemont High School. Jennifer plans to attend Eastern Idaho Technical College to become a medical assistant.
  • Guadalupe “Jackie” Aguiar from Emerson High School. Jackie plans to attend Idaho State University studying social work or criminal law.

Congratulations to Jennifer and Jackie, and all the students who participated in the Symposium.
