North Wind Leadership Academy Announces a New Class of Graduates
Kudos to the 2024 North Wind Leadership Academy (NWLA) class! Participants exhibited enthusiasm and commitment throughout the program, showcasing adaptability and agility while learning new skills and forging connections across the company.
Last month, 31 high-potential employees spanning North Wind’s diverse organization completed a months-long leadership development program facilitated by University of Tennessee consultants and strengthened by projects supporting corporate initiatives.
On June 7, at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, teams presented the results of their projects to North Wind President and CEO Rich Driggs, CIRI President Sarah Lukin, program alumni, and other North Wind guest panelists.
“I am really impressed by what I saw at the 2024 Leadership Academy graduation. This program inspires a new generation of leaders at North Wind, creating upward mobility and increased responsibility for our employees. I’m proud of the degree of excellence on display as well as the commitment and investment we make in our employees. That’s really what it’s all about.” said Driggs.
What is North Wind Leadership Academy (NWLA)? As one of North Wind’s benefits, it is an annual rotation of North Wind’s rising star contributors through a curriculum designed by the University of Tennessee to prepare our future leaders to take on more responsibility within the organization. Participants develop their leadership skills through three in-person training sessions and an interim group project guided by an Executive Champion and two Corporate Mentors.
