North Wind Signs Mentor-Protege Agreement with Los Alamos National Security
Los Alamos, NM, June 26, 2008 – North Wind, Inc., an Idaho Falls, Idaho based environmental services company, today announced the signing of a Department of Energy (DOE) mentor-protégé agreement with Los Alamos National Security (LANS) in Los Alamos, New Mexico.
The DOE Mentor-Protégé program was developed to provide professional teaming relationships between established contractors and small businesses. Under this agreement, LANS will assist North Wind in enhancing their technical and business capabilities and general development assistance for performing future work for the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), DOE and other federal agencies.
“Having performed work for Los Alamos National Laboratory since 2006, we are delighted to formalize our relationship with LANL through the signing of this agreement,” said North Wind President Sylvia Medina, “Our core competencies in facility characterization, decontamination and demolition, waste management and environmental compliance are well suited for assisting LANL with its environmental restoration and compliance requirements.
