North Wind Portage (NWP) is pleased to announce that we have received Certification that our Quality Management System (QMS) meets ISO 9001:2015 standards. The International Standards Organization (ISO) is a non-governmental agency with membership of 160 national standards institutes from countries around the globe. It has developed more than 18,000 standards for all dimensions of business and development. The 9001 standards are the world’s most popular and most commonly used standard for QMSs. The standards are updated / refreshed every 5-10 years, and to maintain certification, companies must demonstrate compliance with the new standards within 3 years of their issuance. Having been certified to the 2008 standards previously, NWP is excited to receive confirmation that we are in compliance with newer 2015 standards. Jeff Scott, President of NWP, states, “We are thrilled about receiving the Certification to the 9001:2015 standard. This is the result of a lot of hard work and another step in ensuring we are consistently delivering services of the highest quality to our customers. The upgraded certification will be of continuing importance as we expand the scope and reach of our services outside the US into Canada and the Pacific region.”
