Two North Wind Group subsidiary companies recently were awarded contracts with the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center (CEHNC) in Huntsville, Alabama.
North Wind Solutions was awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide demolition-related services for CEHNC. The work includes planning, coordination and execution of facility abatement and hazardous material removal, demolition, debris management and disposition, and site restoration and cleanup of excess facilities across the northeastern United States to save energy and maintenance costs; eliminate safety hazards, nuisances, and unsightly structures; and free up valuable Army real estate for future development. North Wind Solutions is part of a pool of contractors who will share in the estimated $48 million program over a 5-year (1-year base and four 1-year options) period.
While North Wind Solutions’ contract focuses on the northeastern U.S., North Wind Construction Services was also recently awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract to provide similar services for CEHNC across the mid-eastern U.S. North Wind Construction Services is also part of a pool of contractors who will share in the estimated $48 million program over a 5-year (1-year base and four 1-year options) period.
Jeff Scott, North Wind’s Eastern Regional Manager, stated, “We are proud to have been selected for these important contracts and look forward to continuing to support the Army in their mission to remediate and modernize their facilities. These are extremely important contracts for North Wind as we continue to expand our operations in the eastern U.S.”
