North Wind Announces New Alaska Office Location and New Employees
The Alaska office for North Wind, Inc. and North Wind Services, LLC has moved to a new location in Anchorage: 2627 C Street, Suite 130. The new office is located closer to North Wind’s parent corporation, Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI), and provides easier access for collaboration and partnering with CIRI.
North Wind also announces two new employees: Liz Birkos and Kari Holder. Birkos is a professional geologist supporting North Wind projects throughout the state of Alaska, including a remedial investigation at a former FAA facility near Duncan Canal in southeast Alaska, groundwater monitoring at the former Haines Fuel Terminal, and electrical power plant emission control system upgrades at Eielson Air Force Base.
Holder is a project manager with over 18 years of experience in the industry and is leading a site investigation near Northway and serving as the North Wind lead on water quality testing in support of the Susitna-Watana hydroelectric dam study.
North Wind is a small business leader in the environmental, engineering and construction service industries, supporting federal and state agencies and private industry. Services include environmental investigation and restoration, abatement and waste management, construction and demolition, environmental and civil engineering, natural and cultural resource services, and push probe drilling and UVOST services. North Wind is an Alaska Native Corporation, 8(a) certified, and Alaska DOT&PF DBE certified.
