Portsmouth Infrastructure Support Services

North Wind Dynamics is the Infrastructure Support Services (ISS) prime Contractor on the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Environmental Management Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Site located in south-central Ohio, representing one of DOE’s largest, multi-year small business fixed-price contracts. Infrastructure services includes:

  • Surveillance, maintenance, repair/construction, or replacement of facilities
  • IT, computer, and telecommunication services
  •  Safeguards and security
  • Mobile equipment maintenance
  • Records management and document control
  • Mail services
  • Training services
  • Roadway and parking lot maintenance
  • Grounds maintenance
  • Snow removal
  • Janitorial services
  • Pest control
  • Environment, safety, health, and quality program

The North Wind Dynamics team transitioned to the ISS prime contractor in February 2022. The previous contract was held by a North Wind joint venture, Portsmouth Mission Alliance (PMA). The project workforce has incorporated safety, quality , and sustainability into the performance of work resulting in receiving five DOE Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star of Excellence Awards and two DOE VPP Legacy of Stars Awards. The conscientious procurement practices have been recognized by receipt of the Green Electronics Council’s Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool (EPEAT) Purchaser Award annually.
