North Wind to Sponsor Senator Murkowski Event

U.S. Senator Lisa Murkowski to be featured speaker at March 21 Up n Atom Breakfast

The Partnership for Science and Technology is pleased to announce that Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) will be the guest speaker at the organization’s March 21 Up n Atom Breakfast. Senator Murkowski is the Ranking Member of the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. She is also a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee.

As part of her visit, Senator Murkowski along with Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyoming) will tour the Idaho National Laboratory at the invitation of Idaho Senators Mike Crapo and Jim Risch. Her visit is notable given her influential role as the Energy Committee’s Ranking Member. This committee is the key Senate committee with oversight and legislative responsibilities for nuclear fuels research and development. Senator Murkowski is also a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee’s subcommittees relating to energy and water, homeland security and military construction.

PST founding member, North Wind Group, is sponsoring the breakfast. North Wind is an Alaska Native Company based in Idaho Falls.

The Up n Atom Breakfast will be held at the INL Energy Innovation Laboratory Community Room, 775 University Blvd starting at 7:30 a.m.
