North Wind Awarded another VPP “Star of Excellence” Award
Piketon, OH – North Wind Dynamics, LLC is proud to announce the successful continuation of its U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star Level status, recognizing the company’s exceptional commitment to workplace safety and health. North Wind Dynamics received the DOE VPP Star Level designation from Stephanie Martin, Acting Director of the DOE Office of Environment, Health, Safety, and Security on August 6, 2025.
The DOE VPP Star Level designation is held by a select group of organizations. The Star Level is the highest recognition for a site with outstanding occupational safety and health programs, excellent safety performance, and effective management systems for controlling workplace hazards. Star Level participants are self-sufficient in hazard control, act as models for their industry and other contractors, and have achieved safety and injury/illness rates significantly below national averages.
“Achieving and maintaining VPP Star status is a true team effort,” said Damon Detillion, North Wind Dynamics Project Manager. “It demonstrates the commitment of every employee to creating a safe and healthy work environment, and we are proud of the culture of safety we’ve built together.”
