Investing in Future Leaders

Tom Sherwood was one of North Wind’s first employees and the Geosciences Department Manager until his unfortunate death in 2000. He was a skilled outdoorsman who had a passion for geology and the environment. He graduated from ISU in 1992 with degrees in geology and biology. North Wind established the scholarship endowment with contributions from the company, Tom’s friends and colleagues, and proceeds from previous golf tournaments.

North Wind congratulates Ellen, Caden, and Melissa on their achievements and is honored to support their educational journeys. Their dedication, resilience, and commitment to building a better future exemplify the values celebrated through the North Wind Scholarship Program.

As North Wind celebrates the 25th year of awarding scholarships, the company remains committed to investing in the next generation of innovators, scientists, engineers, and environmental professionals whose work will help shape the future of our communities and industries.

Congratulations to our 2026 scholarship recipients. We wish them continued success in their academic pursuits and future careers.
