The 11th Annual Tom Sherwood Memorial Golf Tournament and raffle raised almost $10,000 for scholarships. The event was held August 3 at the Sage Lakes Golf Course in Idaho Falls. Tom Sherwood was one of the first managers at North Wind. Sadly, he passed away in 2000. In honor of Tom, North Wind and Idaho State University established the Tom Sherwood Memorial Scholarship, and host an annual golf tournament and raffle to support this memorial. This year, Moxie Endeavors, Inc. joined North Wind and ISU as co-hosts. This year’s great raffle prizes included a Thomas Mangelsen framed print (“Gift of the Run”) donated by Images of Nature, gas grill donated by Intermountain Gas, and three hands-on adventures courtesy of Idaho Fish and Game: pheasant release, high mountain fish stocking, and waterfowl banding.
