17th Annual Tom Sherwood Memorial Golf Tournament

Get the clubs out . . . it is time for the 17th Annual Tom Sherwood Memorial Golf Tournament! North Wind Group, Moxie Endeavors, and the Idaho State University (ISU) Foundation have partnered again to host this 4-person team scramble. For those who enjoy golf, great food, drinks, and networking with colleagues all while raising money for a worthwhile cause, this scramble is for you! As usual, we will provide games and challenges, including a chance to win $10,000 for a hole-in-one on a par 3. The scramble will be held Friday, July 20, 2018 at the Jefferson Hills Golf Course in Rigby, so sign up today!

To date, we have contributed over $115,000 to ISU! This tournament enables us to support a full tuition scholarship for a full time ISU student. However, we need to continue to raise funds to sustain the endowment. Keeping Tom’s passion for the outdoors and science alive, this endowment provides scholarships to future geologists, biologists and environmental scientists. Tom Sherwood was one of North Wind’s first employees and was our Geosciences Department Manager until his untimely death in 2000. He was a consummate outdoorsman with a passion for geology and the environment. He graduated from ISU in 1992 with degrees in geology and biology. The Thomas Sherwood Memorial Scholarship Endowment was established by North Wind with contributions from the company, Tom’s friends and colleagues, and proceeds from this golf tournament. The tournament is one of the longest running and most profitable in Southeastern Idaho.

There are multiple levels of sponsorship, offering an outstanding opportunity to gain company exposure and to demonstrate your support of advanced education. The ISU Foundation is a 501(c)3 entity; therefore, your donation is tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. We greatly appreciate your willingness to support this event and look forward to your involvement this year. Please see the attached Sponsorship and Registration Form for more information.

Please respond with your plan to sponsor, play, or contribute, by Friday, July 13th. If you have any questions or to register, please call Kimi Preh, North Wind Group at 208-557-7826.
