North Wind Group is pleased to announce that Joe Wood, CHMM, PE, PMP has joined North Wind in the Knoxville, TN office as the Deputy Regional Manager for the Eastern Region.
“We are thrilled to have Joe join our team,” said Jeff Scott, Eastern Regional Manager. “Joe brings a tremendous breadth and depth of technical and management experience that will allow us to continue to improve our operations, expand our services and customer base, and ensure we advance our infrastructure for sustained growth in the region.”
Mr. Wood brings more than 30 years of environmental engineering and project management experience including radioactive waste site investigations and feasibility studies; remediation and verification of sites contaminated with hazardous and radioactive wastes; nuclear material control and accountability assessments and procedural development; vulnerability and anti-terrorism and force protection assessments of critical infrastructure; and emergency response training, coordination and participation.
Wood is a Professional Engineer and Project Management Professional. He earned a BS in Environmental Engineering and an MS in Environmental Engineering (Health Physics) from the University of Florida. An Oak Ridge resident since 1991, Joe’s career has included working for Tetra Tech, SAIC, Bechtel National and the US EPA.
