North Wind Hosts 13th Annual Sherwood Golf Tournament

North Wind Group is once again hosting the upcoming Sherwood Memorial Golf Tournament on July 25 at Sage Lakes Golf Course. North Wind started this tournament in 2001 as a tribute to Tom Sherwood, one of the company’s first managers, who tragically passed away in 2000. North Wind partnered with the Idaho State University Foundation to establish the Tom Sherwood Memorial Scholarship, which benefits students pursuing geosciences or biology degrees. To date, the event has raised almost $120,000 for the scholarship fund.

The tournament includes a 4-person scramble as well as raffle prizes, games and challenges, great food, and networking with colleagues all while raising money for a worthwhile cause. Registration starts at 7:00 a.m. with a continental breakfast provided by Great Harvest, followed by a shotgun start at 8:00 a.m. To register, contact North Wind (dmcclure@northwindgrp.com or call 208-528-8718).

Moxie Endeavors and the Partnership for Science and Technology are also helping to host this event, and major sponsor Fluor is sponsoring two teams for area students.
